Not that serious,kind of mild not wild.has been flawless when i dropped it in one day 2 years ago and 40K miles later.played with the tune a little and its never had to be touched,perfect drivebility and gets 18.5 HWY.


Rumble,what did the heads do for you? why didnt you(or did you) shave .020 off the heads when they were off and send your OE cam to comp for $100 they could have put .020 more lift and a slight change of duration,then you could have made better use of the heads.

 

You are so correct it was obvious what the outcome would be.Almost not worth bringing up here on the forum.But you hear enough of these guys blab about how fast the trucks are,I just had to find out for myself.

 

Oh I agree with the Hemi arrogance, if this guy is one of them then you should have put him in his place!

Thats the fun of it. That guy thought he was going to win no questions asked. If he wasnt smart enough to ask what was under the hood he deserved to be embarrassed. Besides, its all in good fun. Its not like he looked up some 75 year old alzheimers patient and convinced him to race for slips

He thought his 16 second hemi was the fastest thing on the market (slower than 16sec. here at 4000FT) he learned something today,you dont go buy a new truck based on a TV commercial he jacked off to and expect to win every race.I wonder if he will now refere to his truck as the "hemi"

Gonzo, about all I did was a little cleaning up what DC screwed up, working with GSM and they are looking into some cams currently and have even cut some but the computer didn't take it and it ran crappy as hell, so they canned the cam deal for now. GSM is the guys that got the paxton to work on the hemi, pretty good group of dodge guys. There was a post over on DTW this morning that a member said he had recieved an e-mail from mopar performance parts that a cam and computer where near for us and he had their phone number and all down from the e-mail they sent him. Hell, being the freak I am, I called mopar performance and talked with a guy there for about 20 minutes..............outcome------> There is no cam or computer currently in testing or one that will be put out into production for the 5.7 hemi engine, its not even in any stages right now, they are looking into other cars and about the biggest thing for them right now is the neon srt 4! Only thing you can get from mopar is headers, exhaust, and some chrome valve covers.

I feel as if I got alot of low end from the head job Gonzo, but I still haven't played with it alot here lately, this spring when the tracks open back up I need to get down and run it some.

 

I would like to know what the cam specs they tried,you know they went some wild *** grind when something mild would have worked.

Yep, its alot of them HEMI head guys out there, but most of them are the ones that have never had any kinda vehicle with any performance ratings on it at all...............you know the guy that drove the nissan stanza his mom and dad bought him when he was 16 and he drove it for ten more years, then bought a vehicle with an ad that read 345 HP and he thought he had a viper...........thats the kind of guys most of the hemi heads are, then they take off the ram emblems and replace them with the viper emblem!

 

Mod for mod would be fair,your hemi with intake and superchips aginst a VHO with a tune and intake.Fair?
