Default help buying truck, possibly quadrasteer?..

hey everyone,
i'm looking into getting another truck and i found a 2004 FULLY LOADED quadrasteer 5.3 silverado with 42k on it. my question is how good is the quadrasteer system?.. how doe's it hold up to performance mods?.. and would it be able to handle a LQ9 with full bolt on's (about 400hp)... also are 20" wheels a problem?.. i need some help on this one asap.. cause i don't know sqaut about these trucks.

i was looking for regular cab to do the LQ9 swap.. so if this is'nt a good choice i'll go back to that.
thanks in advance guys.

The QSteer will be the last thing you will have problems with as for HP. They have the Dana 60 rear end... I am putting down more then 400hp and running 20" wheels if that helps you any. The Qsteer works great, the only down side from a performance side is the added wieght. The Dana 60 with the Qsteer is a heavy SOB.

ALL the quadrasteer trucks and SUVs use the Dana 60. Both the half ton and the 3/4, they just used a 6 bolt hub for the 1/2's and a 8 bolt for the 3/4's. It's a VERY strong rearend, you should never have any problems with it. Big HP, big wheels, no problem. I really want quadrasteer in my truck

once you go Quadrasteer you will never want to drive a regular truck again,
I am pushing 805 ft lbs of torque and zero problems with the Q-Steer

I know it's off topic but can you do cool doughnuts with the quadrasteer, like the monster trucks do. If so any videos.

well that settles that question!.. lol. man your truck is bad ***!.

i know a stock 5.3 xcsb is a little over 5000lbs but how much does the dana60 and Qsteer add over the stock rear?.
also i found a Qsteer silvy for under 10K but it has 106k on it do you think that's too many miles?... also if the Qsteer system was to fail how much would it be to repair/replace.
thanks again guys.

my truck weighs in at 6300lbs
you will have zero problems with the Q-Steer,
just make sure you use the correct rear Diff fuid, it makes a Huge differance and a lot of times the Dealership will put in the wrong stuff.
