Default Help on alarm question

Ive been real lucky. but need to do it before its to late.... im looking into alarms? anybody heared of compustar i hear they are the best and has anybody installed their own how difficult? think its worth to get remote start i can go either way pros and cons welcomed. thanks again for all the help

Compustar is a good solid alarm.. Anything DEI would be a solid choice also. An Alarm is one of the things I recommend letting a professional do.. Heck if you go to a shop that has DEI and they install it then you get a lifetime warranty on that alarm..
DEI = Viper, Clifford, etc..

Ive gotta say any DEI product too. I had a ******* Crimestopper way back when. Big pile of ****. Never had any issue with any DEI/Viper alarm Ive ever had. I put my Viper 550ESP in my truck back in 2003. If you get remote start, make sure the relays are NOT inside the brain. Most of the time they are not replaceable. Relay contacts do burn over time and go bad. DEI's external relay satellite is a godsend if you have a relay go bad.

thanks for the relay info that must be why starters get stuck bad contacts well thanks again . I think im going to try my own install but who knows mybe when i get it i just take it somewhere.
