alright guys im new here and hoping I can get a little help figuring out this swap. I got a 01 Silverado 4.3 single cab base model. just a little work truck. bought a 5.3 to swap in there so I can tow a little more. the 5.3 is out of a 04 its DBW I got the whole motor and harness and ecm for $500, I thought it was I good deal? Now ive read up that I need new frame mounts. am I able to use the stock fuse box. I read something about getting a TAC box and being able to run DBW? just trying to get everything together so I can do this a weekend.

 

I cant help ya with most, but as far as the DBW goes you will need to find a complete throttle pedal assembly which will be the electronic throttle pedal, small wiring harness (from pedal to TAC mod.), and the 03-06 TAC module and you will be g2g. I found mine complete on ebay for $140 a month or so ago for my swap.
