The old 'cheesy' trick on the lights is to just barely push in the parking brake. The brake light in the dash will come on, but the lights will be disabled. I don't think the parking brake actually drags, but the pedal moves enough to set of the warning switch. Then you only have one light bulb to remove <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> in the dash for no power robbing.

if you have a 1999 truck that doesnt work. hopefully you do.i always take my passenger headlight out and then override mine so only the parking lamps are on.if your truck is a 99 then you could take your passenger light out and pull the bulb out of the other one.

my thinking is that when you push the e-brake down it triggers something to make the lights not come on. If you can figure out what it is a limit switch or something you could wire in a menual switch. If you could figure it out you would have a toggle switch to turn the lights off. The e-brake would not do it any more though. You could call the dealer and ask what the e-brake petal triggers but I dought they would know. Or you could trace it out your self. That would take a long time and you would have to be diecent at electrical. The only other thing I could think of is ask a alarm shop if they could help you those guys are prety smart. IN theory I think it would work but I am not sure I would have look into it myself.
