Default Have an interesting problem.

About a year ago I put my stock exhaust back on because I was traveling quite a bit and needed to quiet the truck down, well I'm not traveling nearly as much and decided to pull my old set up out of the barn and put it back on. Herein lies the problem.

It a complete, welded together "cat-back" with 22" Aerochamber. It has been sitting in the barn for about year and was covered in quite a few spider webs, and as far I can see down the I-pipe and tail pipe, it's the same story, not bad, but they are present.

Is it ok to "rinse" out the exhaust? I'm gonna have the tailpipe chopped and a turndown put back on, but I don't want to put this thing on without getting it cleaned up a little? Kind of afraid that there might be some debris in the muffler from wasps and such.

It should be fine seeing that your engine produces moisture from time to time anyhow. Or just blow it out with air hose and let the exhaust push out the rest.

I say give the spiders and wasps a rude awakening and let them hear what an LSX sounds like on a cold start.......bastards. Maybe even put a screen over the tip so they get a good high from the burnt exhaust fumes before getting blown out onto the pavement. ........or maybe I just need to be on meds.!

as far as rinsing it out you should have no problem. Like mentioned before you exhaust has moisture that builds in it from hot and cold temp changes. My friends used to fill ours up back in high school just so we could see a 3" full stream of water shooting out at high rpm.

Yeah, like mentioned above you should not have a problem. Just rinse it out and enjoy the new/old sound.

I figured it would be fine. Now I just need to get it to the shop for the turndown.....i never should have put a tailpipe on it, just killed the sound.
