Has anyone made the move from an Fbody to a full Size GM Truck?

I have a 02 Z28 and I was playing with the idea of going back to a full size GM truck. I love my car, but there are so many compromises made by making it a daily driver. Has anyone made the move? Did you regret the decision? I know it would be a slower vehicle, but honestly I don't race anymore and I dont want to dump money into my car to keep it in race shape. Any thoughts?

I added a full size Chevy to my line up and kept both the 00 Camaro, and the 01 Z/28. I needed something that could pull the Camaro so I opted for the 06 CCSB Vmax and added a 24ft enclosed haulmark enclosed trailer

I went from a 2000 firebird to an '03 GMC and then to this '05 and never looked back.
As far as slower, that depends on what you do with your truck. There are plenty of Fbods that have a hard time catching me in my big ol truck.

i went from a 91 firebird with the o so great 305 tbi (insert sarcasm) and have my 05 sierra 5.3 and this thing will never leave me i might get a used firehawk in the future. but i am very happy with my decision although it wasnt much of a trade off because my pickup is faster than the firebird was but i do miss t-tops but i like being able to drive in snow more

I used to drive a 1978 Camaro Z28 as a daily driver for 4 years until I got my truck. I drive my Camaro today and I can't believe I drove it on a daily basis for that long. The ride is harsh, it has alot of rattles, and it's a P.I.T.A (literally) to get in and out of it constantly...especially since I'm 6'3". Oh, it's also a complete DOG compared to the acceleration of my truck. I still have my Camaro as a cruiser but I could never imagine using it as a daily driver again.
