Check out bluecajun's truck, he has a 5.3 rcsb that's running 12's with a TR220 and I believe about a 3k converter and 4.10's...the TSP 228 sounds a little big for the TB converter mentioned, and would really work better with a good set of ported and milled heads for better flow and more compression.

I'd guess high 13's if everything was right. 12's...not without a little more effort.

Are you saying your stock Duramax runs faster than 14's?

The track aint open thru the week, and the cam hasnt showed up yet.

High 13s if everything is right on a 100 shot?

Yes my duramax is faster than 14s, tuned. Factory size exhaust, and factory airbox. Everything else is stock. The tbss has been 13.99 STOCK. SO, yes i have 2 nearly stock vehicles that will run with my supposed 5.3 hot rod cammed swrc truck on a 100 shot......Do you see how i might be confused?

I am gonna stick with it and see what it will run, but if you guys are right....I will be getting rid of the drivetrain for cheap.

I'd say most of the people here are being conservative with their track times. We don't know your DA, what track you're running, what tires or a lot of other factors that play into track times. I can tell you from what I've seen a 5.3 with headers, exhaust and a tune will break into the 14s. A vortec 350 couldn't do that with the same mods. So assuming it hooks and you get the full shot of N2O she'll do 13's. With that cam you'll see low 13s but with a stall you'll probably break 12s. I've seen a ECSB 4.8 with a 75 shot, a stall, a cam and full bolt ons do low 13's and the 5.3 is about .5 seconds quicker with the same mods. Don't give up just expect the worst case scenario and you might get a suprise.
