OK, my power door lock went out. Thanks GM for putting PL and latches in a one peice unit
I pulled it out to test it and see if it was a loose connection etc.... well, at first, I couldn't even open the door at all with the key OR remote unlock. So I figured it was mechanical. Anyway, I test it with no load and see that everything actuates the way it should, I put it back in a test it. Doesn't work well with the rods hooked up. Go back inside to call the stealership and order a new one at $115.00. Go back outside and my neighbor did me a favor by shutting my door. He was driving off and hollered you left your door open so I closed it for you since the house near by was getting some work done and a bunch of people were over there. Favor!?!?!?! Now my ******* door won't open at all. I have reached insde and hit, poked, pulled, yelled at everything I can get to on the latch. No DICE!!!! door is closed and WILL NOT open with the latch. Anyway I can jimmy it from inside the door????

Well....nevermind. I got it out. Found a little hole I was able to jamp a small screwdriver in and get it to unlatch. Apparantly, the metal pivot that the rods connect to was stripped from the inside. I found a small access that was exposed that was the cog for the latch spring. I'll change my sig to "Thieves...they can get in, but they can't get out!!"
