Default Gotta love the AC in our trucks

Well i had to fix the AC in my truck yesterday. Apparently when i swapped in the LQ9 i did not tighten the bolt that hold on the compressor. All the bolts fell out and the compressor fell and cracked a line. Sooooo i ordered a new line got it installed. I suckex the system down and slapped the gauges on it. I got the low side PSI at 35-38psi. Everything works great. I usually goto lumch and let my truck ie for about 30-45 mins. Soooo it has been sitting here for about 20 min at idle and the vent temp is at 40* and the outside temp is 104*. Pretty impressive for a 134 system.

gotta love it. my truck is known as "the refrigerator" to people that ride with me. i leave the a/c on full blast whenever its over 80 outside, and it gets damn cold in there. cold enough that people open the window to let some heat in...

haha, that's where i store my "soda." it stays nice and frosty in there lol. i thought about re-routing my ac vent to the inside of my console since nobody ever sits in the back seat.

Remember the other day when i let you drive my truck and the AC kept stopping... Well that was the belt being thrown off due to the lose bolts at the time... So i put the belt back on without checking the Compressor attachement... Well a couple of days after that Eric drove it and the same damn thing happened, it tossed the belt.... So i put it back on.... then the next few days the belt fell off again, this time i finally noticed the compressor just hanging there... Well i guess that is was broke the damn line...

I dunno about leaving the bolts out, currently there are 2 holding it one and they are locited

AC in these trucks is pretty badass. I can't keep mine on #5 for longer than 10 minutes. Love it!
