Default Got some problems, need help

I have a few problems I want to take care of, nothing major I hope.

First is a small leak. Its a light red, pinkish color. Last time I changed my oil I saw it under the truck, oil pan, steering rack, chassis braces, etc I assume from driving it blew back on the oil pan. I tried looking to see where it was coming from, but couldn't find a starting point.

I also have a coolant leak somewhere, or so I think. Every few weeks my low coolant light will come on and I will have to add a little back to it. Is there an easy way to find out where its coming from? I haven't noticed any puddles so it has to be a slow leak.

And last, just happened today, my ABS light is on. I checked and there are no codes. Any way to tell exactly what it is? Can I reset it to see if it comes back on? Thanks

Not really what I wanted to hear, but I expected it. I'll have to check lines tomorrow.

What color is the power steering fluid?

pinkish colored fluid - i would think since its up front, it would be the power steering. that would be the first thing i checked.

coolant - hopefully you dont have this, but maybe a blown head gasket!! i have seen some that do not smoke, they just loose coolant like yours is doing. that would be my first guess.

ABS - theres a few different sensors, that could be bad. one on each front rotor and one i think under the hood

Since the power steering fluid is the same color, I would bet its that over tranny fluid. Any particular spots I should check for this? While I am looking, I will go ahead and check the tranny lines though just to be on the safe side.

With a blown head gasket, any way to tell without tearing the engine apart? If thats not the case, I would assume there is a leak in the hoses, radiator, or its seeping out of the holes in the water pump, right? Any easy ways to check these without just replacing them?

With the ABS, again, any way to check or do you just have to replace the sensors until the light goes off? Anything else it could be?

Thanks for the help so far, I will check what I can to see if I can determine anything.

The most common place on these trucks for a coolant leak is from the water pump gaskets. You can either just replace the gaskets or the water pump depending on your budget. My wifes tahoe was leaking there and I opted to change the gaskets and all has been well for over 6 months now. They usually leak slowly and its hard to see.

chevys have a common problem with the power steering leaking, but yea i would also check any tranny lines just to be safe.

only thing i could think of for the head gasket is maybe, BIG MAYBE, cylinder leak down test. gasket may not be blown, just leaking. only true and accurate way to tell is to pull the heads and look at the gaskets. if the coolant were to be leaking anywhere, you would see it either on the ground or on the engine somewhere. he didnt say anything about coolant on the ground under the truck which leads me to say a head gasket, cause if the water pump were to be leaking it would have a puddle under the truck. also, he says he has to fill the coolant back up every couple weeks, so thats not just a slow leak. look on front of engine and maybe touch as far behind the water pump as you can to feel any kind of dampness.

i have never tested abs sensors so i couldnt tell you how or if you can!! probably can because all sensors can be tested with either OHMs readings or Voltage readings

abs light will come on when brake fluid level is low. Have u checked that yet? Can you smell coolant after you have run your truck?
