comin back from sonic earlier today passed a 88-90 Trans Am/Firebird heading the other way with one of those chrome air scoops sticking through the hood. as it went by me noticed it had a fairly good thump to it, but i just kept on cruisin. got to the light bout a 1/2 mile down the road waiting in the turn lane and here comes the bird pulling up behind me. i'm just a sittin there waitin on the light and hear 'em give the throttle a couple of whacks. i know they're tryin to get my attention, but when the light goes green i just take off normally. in a sec or two here comes the bird right by me and then he lets off and starts slowing down. i'm thinkin ok i'll prolly get killed big time but what the hell. roll down the window and wave 'em back to slow down some more. i ask 'em does the chrome scoop mean something or is it just for looks and what does she run. they give me this oh it'll run 13-13.3. i'm a believin it as this bird is thumpin. they say it's a 383 and i see it's a M4/5/6 not sure which, with some big *** MT street ETs underneath it. well we go from about a 15 roll and i mean i am fred flintstoning my truck. i'm on my suck *** generals so when i nail it's roastin time. suprisingly though i pull 'em a truck length through first into 2nd and not until i am well into 2nd do they catch me and pull me. when i shutdown at ~80 they had me by about 1 1/2. we pull over and chat for a few. they were suprised i pulled them like i did. what do you guys think? i had a 1K pounds on them no stall and my 3.42s to their 3.90s.

i would like to tweak my tune a little before i make the 1320ft trip. i've got the jason special from tsp now. i have been suckin up pretty good to lil momma here lately and i think she's gonna order HPT for me so i can see what damage i can do to the tune. gotta get all the parts i can now while i still got extra $$$ to play with. the honey wants a new ride. paid off her 2K grand prix and she goes to screamin for a new GT Stang . talked her out of that, so she settles for either a new GP GTP or the G6.
