I wanted to make the trip over from LS1Tech to get some opinions on a truck I'm thinking about buying. A friend of mine is considering selling his truck soon and I wanted to see if it was a better than average buy.

Here is the basic rundown on the truck:

'99 Silverado, regular cab, shortbed, 4.8, 5 speed (10k on trans), 160k, Black, Cowl hood, billet grille, lowered 4/6", 20" wheels (Amer. Racing I think. Black center w/polished lip), roll pan, euro lights, billet fuel door, vynil floor, crank windows, manual locks, Sony Cd player, Split bench w/fold down console.

The truck was painted not to long ago, but the paint isn't perfect. Looks great from about 10 feet, but you can see where some dents had been fixed. It will be my driver, so I'm not sure if I'd get it repainted or not. I've been wanting another truck since mine got totalled, so this kind of caught my attention.

He was telling me I could most likely buy it for about $4500-5000, what do you all think?

 

that price sounds reasonable.

 

that's not a bad price at all. It depends how bad the paint is but I'd still pay $4500 if everything else was alright.

 

I'm hoping that he'll go ahead and get every thing together and sell it. I guess that I'll most likely buy it if everything goes as planned.
