Default Funny story

As some of you may be aware I tried to "DOWNGRADE" my truck and get a Lightning for a lower monthly payment. Things didnt work out on that route so I decided to keep my truck. Yesterday my friend calls me to tell me he picked up an '01 Lightning for $20k Pretty expensive as I found a '04 Lightning for $26k unmolested. The one my friend got has a 2/4 drop and full exhaust/long tubes so you know its been ragged out. Make a long story short, he never wanted a Lightning until I tried to get one. Now he's telling everyone that I'm "green with envy" because he got one.

So needless to say Mr Ford Boy thinks he's badass now, so any of you Houston guys wanna come down and embarass him for me?

If I was closer I'd come and play.....*IF* there isnt a 2 foot diameter crank pulley on that thing

btw...tell him to watch out for the plug spitting and rod breaking phenomena of the 01's (batch of weak connecting rods and 4 threads holding in the plugs )

either way it's not going to be the same unless you're the one that puts it to him.

I saw a Lightning run at the track once.....

After the smoke cleared and the wrecker hooked up, the rod sticking out of the pan didnt look normal. I think its kinda funny that the Lightning are built with the blowers, but have weak rods, etc. Chevy builds non blower motors and blowers are added and rarely do you hear of the chevy rods failing.
