Funny start to my day.

I was sitting at the computer entering inventory when the phone rang. Normally I answer most of the calls but my boos grabbed this one so I could finish up at the computer.
I wasn't really paying attention till Rob got that exasperated tone in his voice wherre you could tell he was was tired of explaining a point that the customer just wasn't getting. From this point on I listen in while typing away.
Turns out the guy is having major charging issues and feels that his amplifier is too big and drawing too much current. The amps is a small 600watt mono-block and the rest of the system is stock. Normally this wouldnt pose much a problem on the stock alternator on a big truck. The guy has this in a 98 Dodge Ram truck. At this point Rob says there has to be something else wrong with the charging system for there to be that much current draw. Rob starts asking about underdrive pulleys and such then I hear him say, "WHATS AN ELECTRONIC SUPERCHARGER????"... I started LMAO! I have never heard of anyone buying one of these damn internet jokes. I then told Rob that that is most likely the guys problem and to tell him to take it off since it doesn't do JACK anyway and see if the charging system works better.
Later in the day the kid comes in and I realize I have seen him before. He is actually a good guy but I couldn't help but crack a joke about the leaf blower he has under the hood and if he has tried removing it yet and he quickly replied "Wanna race????".. I started laughing and and follow my customer out the door. I walked outside and see his lifted DOdge Ram with 38"s and laughed again at the thought of that thing racing me and how I couldn't bring myself to entertain the thought because he'd probably never buy anything again if we did race. LOL
I get back inside and he was still adamant about racing me even after my boss had told him laughingly that he would get completely and utterly smoked.
The kid was cool so I told him let me take the turbo and all the crap off the Z71 so I can put it on the lil grey truck and I'll race him with my 4x4 just to make it more fair. Me N/A to his Conaircharger.
I don' know what the point of the story is other than I actually found someone who bought one of those damn things and I had to tell you guys. Next time he comes by I'm gonna go check it out and maybe snap some pics for ya'll

LOL!!! That's pretty funny.
Somebody has to buy those, because the company is still in business.
I had no idea those little leaf blowers drew so much current. They might actually make 5psi.............

I'm not sure if the Faberge' HP maker was the culprit in the current draw issue but it sure couldn't be helping.
While I was inside the shop he was telling my boss how it runs 20s in the 1/4 with the big tires but it is totally faster with his stock rims/tires.
I honestly don't think he knows much about racing. Ya think so too? LOL
