Default Fun trip to Dallas

I want to say one thing first Dallas people...Stay in the right lane when it rains. Experienced drivers like myself like to go faster than 30 in the fast lane!!!! Of course that wouldn't be anyone here. But if you know someone, give them that message for me.

I left at 0830 and finnally got home at 2045. 12.25 hours. At one time, I had over 800hp in the truck. 2-4.8's and 1-6.0 . The highlight had to have been the TWO tours of the ghetto near the Cotton Bowl when I missed my exits. First from 75/I45 south to 30 west and the from 30 east to I45 south.

miles - 750
avg speed - 61.63 (including ALL stops)
avg speed - 75.50 (without stops)
MPG - 21.2

Picked up the 6.0 and dropped off the old 4.8. Thanks John (grey silver) and Matt (Slowverado), it was great doing bussiness with you guys. Wish I had more time to chat, but the weather sucked. My son said on the way home "Dad, does everyone you know have fast trucks?" I said "yes, a lot do." He thought it was a pretty cool trip. He is starting to help and learn a little at home about automotive stuff. BTW, he said his board name will be "FastJr." when he gets his truck!

oh man, you know how many times I've taken a wrong turn there and ended up in harlem......

I cant stand their freeway system either. It'd be great if 35E actually went East. Lets not forget they dont even have a real innerloop. Changing freeways is like trying to pick the winning door, only u got about 5 seconds to make a decision.

I'm an experienced driver, (yeah, more than greg), and even the best end up in the ghetto in that city.

Sounds like you had a good time picking the motor up. You don't know how many times I've wanted to just post a general message to people who drive slow in the "passing" lane, not many people drive fast enough to pass me so I just stay there.

Avg speed is real good! Glad your trip went ok and thanks for not making me ship that thing. I think Fast jr has the creeper figured out and he'll be turnin' wrenches before you know it. The switch lane she cane we got can be a little trickey but it ain't nothin' like the malfunction junction.
