Found this part in oil drain pan after oil change today

Chain Tensioner. Pretty safe to say its not this.

I bet its part of the oil level sensor that is in the pan. There is a little float in there, I would guess thats what its from. Do you have an SES light?

dont think so, at least none of the sensors I have seen are big enough to have that inside

Yes it runs fine and everything is normal, if it didn't come from the engine I have no Idea where it came from or what it is.
It looks like some sorta retainer that holds something in place, I guess I will just keep driving it.

To me it looks like part of a blend door mechanism(HVAC). Try to fit it back into the trucks oil drain, Ill bet it wouldn't fit with out the use of a hammer.
