Today on the way home there was a RCSB flareside F-150 driving behind me and we came to a LONG open area of highway(4 lanes) so I pulled out from behind the first car in line
and nailed it(no downshift). The F-150 pulled out and to my surprise stayed with me pretty good.
I did pull him but only about a truck length or so over a pretty good mph range. I figure maybe he was catching a draft off my truck and it was helping a bit as he was about 2 trucks back directly behind me.
I don't think I've ever had another truck or car hang so well before. I have no idea if he had any mods except for the dual exhaust.
Also, do they have a speed limiter because I was well over the stock GM one
and he never shut down.
Just kinda surprised me that he stayed that close. I usually smoke most vehicles that try me.

to be honost i don't think they have a stock limiter. my cousins 00 ecsb 4x4 lariot (sp) didn't have one. he did some mods and well, it was still slow but at those speeds, trucks are trucks, bricks..... i had a hard time with a stock stock stock, chevy like mine. i pulled but it took forever.

Yeah, your right. My Camaro accelerates like a freaking rocket compared to my truck at those speeds and it's back to bone stock.
Another thing was the no downshift and running wind blocker. It's a LONG pull up through the rpms when you don't get that momentum going from that quick second gear hit.

I have a similiar story from a couple weeks ago but it was a Toyota Tundra against my 2002 (see sig.) The scary part is he was a 4wd. I'm still trying to figure it out!

I had a mustang rev at me the other night, I was only going about 25mph up a hill and punch it and it didn't even kick down. Just bogged and sount like ****. I bet he was laughing his *** off at me.

sometimes at 25 my truck won't downshift either.
dunno why, but at 30, i am hearing the the back tires bark when it hits first and then it's hold on time. it only happens on certain types of roads but it's nice to hear it. 30 and 60 are my two fav places to punch it. 70 will take me to second but not for long.
