Default Fog Light Bulb Conversion

03 Fog light bulbs are model 9145. I searched around and found that the 9005 bulb (hi beam) works in its place. I was wondering if this could be done or if any problems would occur. Have any of you guys done this already?

9005 is a hotter bulb and will probably melt your fog light housing.

FWIW I've read elsewhere of someone using the 9005's and hasnt had any issues. He said he also has them on 90% of the time.

Hey guys, new to the site. I'm using the 9005 bulbs in my fog lights on my 03 and haven't had any problems. They definitely light up the road a lot better.

Yup, checked today, the prongs are closer together on the plug and the hole has 3 cutouts for the stock bulb where the headlites are just a round hole...SOL on the swap I guess, anyone have any other solutions, my Silverstars are white and the fogs are yellow, looks kinda nasty and I like to use them basically whenever I'm driving.
