Default Fastest top speed/ticket in your vehicle?

Ok, I'm not by any means suggesting that's it's ok to drive like a nut on the highway, or street racing or any such thing-in fact I should have my butt kicked for driving as fast as I do (my insurance company is going to do just that by the way.) But this last ticket has got me wondering, that along with the story by Parish on another thread of his recent christmas gift.

Me-146 mph, although I got it slowed to 111 by th time the radar got a lock.

I should have been hauled off to jail, but because of the rural nature of the hiway, and no traffic in sight, he just wrote me the ticket and left.

It was a criminal misdemeanor however, which gives me a record I wish I did'nt have, and $367 in fines, (I did get it plead down to 90 mph in a 55 zone) I'm guessing that by the time the insurance company gets through with me (If I still have an insurance company) it will cost upwards of several thousands of $ in the next few years.

Bottom line is-take it to the track (which I do) and use your head (which I did not). I HAVE definitly slowed down though!

97 in a 55. I was doing over 120 when i started slowing down for an exit. There he was at the exit. He said he just got on shift and didn't feel like bringing me in. he said he clock me three times before he got me under 100. I still had to go to court. All i had to pay was a $33 court fee.

Not in my truck but on a bike, 135 in a 35 zone. The cop wrote me up for reckless driving but told me it is really considered "intent to kill" at the speed I was going!! He aslo said it was an immedite loss of lincense until the trial. Who knows if he was spicing it up or not, I was not gonna ask because he was cool enough to just give me a reckless ticket.

Also it was my 23rd b-day, @ 10AM and the ******* asked me if it was my b-day and if I had been "celebrating early". I wanted to be a smart *** but I knew I was just going to get it fixed so I let it go.
