For the guys who have painted their front bumpers (the black part) and the air dam, how did it come out??? Can you see/feel the textured part of it at all? Has the paint faded either?? Thanks guys, mine is at a friends shop gettin a roll pan put on, the airdam painted, and the bumped painted. (The joys of getting rear-ended and having money left over ) Thanks in advance,

up close you can still see the texture on mine but that's because i painted it myself and didn't put the paint on thick (i was too gun-shy about it creating "runs") i've seen some painted on other trucks that came out smooth. if its getting done by a professional my guess would be its goin to come out smooth.

If they spray it on thick, put the right amount of flex additive in it, and prep the plastic correctly, it will come out smooth and durable. Mine is holding up perfectly. I even use the high pressure car wash sprayer on it to get the bugs off. Where did you get the rollpan and how much if you don't mind me asking?

I got my rollpan at Xtreme auto tint and alarm. They also do a lot of truck accessories stuff. I got it for 175 from them, but just found it for a ton cheaper on stylin concepts.... http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts....categoryid/226
I got the urethane one becuase it looks perfect when sprayed w/ paint, and u can hit it and it wont dent. I will get some pics up when I am done. Well... if anyone on the NW side has a good dig camera, and wanna let me use it for a few min to get the pics, lemme know... my lil cousin broke mine .
Good luck,

My handles, bumper cap, airdam, 6.0L engine covers, core support cover and even some dash pieces are painted to match the exterior and they look smooth as glass! You can't see any grain or texture in the pieces at all!

he took the front bumper off to paint the air dam and bumper cover? I've painted mine and all i did was unto the clips(plastic pins) on the airdam, and undid the snaps on the bumper cover. They came off fairly easy and i didnt have to go through the headache of rebalancing my front bumper. I even painted the grille and they all came out smooth because i did put a good bit of primer along with 4 coats of paint and 3 clear coats. Just recently i got a roll pan and had my exhaust done. I paid 200 for my steel roll pan already painted and ready to bolt on. Heres a link to look at pics of my truck before the roll pan, but it does show the painted front end. I plan to post pics of the roll pan/ shaved truck saturday.
