You guys will love this...We dont have state inspections in Arkansas. The cops can check you if you get pulled over but they dont. The only time they get you if your too loud. You have to run straight pipes before they even say anything.

Hey Greg, now you know one of the BIG reasons I wanted a classic car. Get this:

1. Antique Auto insurance, covered for $26,000 is only $305 per year

2. Antique Auto registration is only $10 per year

3. Does not require any inspection. None! Nada!

In order to qualify for Antique status, the vehicle must be 25 years or older. You cannot have it listed as your primary vehicle, and must have proof of ownership of another vehicle. Limited to 3000 miles per year. Not supposed to drive it for work, school, or running errands. Only cruising, car shows, parades, and "pleasure" drives.

So, you should find a restored 1969-72 Chevy truck that we can turn into a drag racing truck with the LS1 in it. The guy I bought my Camaro from had a BADass restored 396ci 69 truck, I think he was only asking $9500

Went to get the truck inspected today, 2 months early because May 1st we get sniffed and the price jumps from $12.5 to $39.xx. Well the parking brake is completly toast. This is the only THREAD I could find on it. It looks simple enough to change, according to Alldata. Any more imput?

All 3 of my vehicles are due in June. But it looks like they will all get done this week due to the sniffer and price.

 

what all changes as far as inspection in may? mine is due in may also but i don't have cats so i can't pass the sniffer i don't think. if i put gutted cats in will i pass?

This is the governments way of boning us again ofr all their bullshit. Pretty soon, the monthly payment will be the cheapest part of owning a car. A few years back, they spent all our tax payers money and built BRAND NEW inspection stations (about 4 in every county - 7 counties) to the tune of 1 mill apiece. They never freaking opened because the law got changed. Now there going to plan B and making us pay for there **** up. It is going to cost all the mom and pop shops an arm and a leg for the new equipment. Oh yea, part of this money (39.xx) Im paying gose to help people that can't afford repairs.
