Yea, I get a little tired of wasting both money and time...it all depends on what's going on in my life at that moment. When I first bought this truck in 99, I was driving a mildly worked 85 Monte SS that I was constantly messing with and modding. After a while it got tiring old, and I decided to trade it in on the truck which I was gonna "leave alone" and just maintain...keep it simple. That lasted for about a year and a half...then the fever came back. My truck is still mild compared to many, but it once you mess with it, it starts to require more attention than if you just left it alone...not to mention that it's a GM (don't flame me here, but this is a reality), which by definition means that it will require more money and attention right about 37K...(right after the warranty expires...what a coincidence!). Even stock, well maintained GM's need extra TLC compared to say....a Toyota or a Honda. (This is why I have both my mother and wife driving Toyotas...so there is only one basket case in the family that needs a monthly repair). All I ever do to their cars is change the oil, rotate the tires, clean and adjust the brakes, etc. Maintenance, which is easy as hell on those go-karts...and they both run great and give me no problems (knock on wood).

But, on the other hand, I love my truck...driving it, working on it (most of the time), improving it, etc. I do have a baby girl at home that's a month old though, so suddenly the truck doesn't seem so important any more...I still plan to keep it and mod it, but if it comes down to having to spend my resources on my daughter or my truck, there'll be a for sale sign on my truck faster than a Warren Johnson launch. I can always build another hot rod...

yea, sometimes i would pay money to set my truck on fire. just watch it burn to the ground and then **** on it but at the same time, after it slaps around those other few brands on the road, i just wanna give it a pat on the tailgate and say good job. call it a love hate thing, or call it what you want. its like a child, sometimes when its giving a bunch of ****, you just wanna slap it around some and show it who's boss, but that sweet voice (exhaust for the truck) just gets the better of you.
