Default Escalade Cluster??? Which one do i need?

It apears the gf wants to purchase me a caddy cluster for the 04 since my speedo and such do not work and i'm over the mileage point for the factory replacement letter that went out.
Even thought it's been acting up since before 40k nothing they can do since i'm almost 4k over 70...anyway.

So the gf wants to upgrade me. So what do i need to get? Just get a year to year one or anything else i need to check for?
Like 04 escalade to go in my 04 silvy?

FWIW... I am told 06 Clusters will not work in earlier model trucks. I found this out when I ordered mine. Not sure about earlier year-to-year compatibility.

I was gonna get one of those the other night. I emailed that dealership with the info on my truck and they said that I have to get an 06 and that one woulnd't work. Does anybody know if theres any truth to this? Or will an 03-06 work for me?
