Default Engine Temperature Acting Up

Ok so get this, I run redline water wetter in my coolant. Ive had it in since 5K miles i know have 21K. Its been fine and always running at 205 exactly doesnt matter if heat or ac is on, highway driving through town idling its always at that temp. Now yesterday I noticed its running down to likw 195 or so, for like 5 mins through town, then coming back through town its up to 218 or so. Then almost to my house which is another 4min ride, its back to 198 around there, why the hell is it going back and forth like this?

How are you logging the temps? The stock thermostat is about 195* IIRC, so thats about right.

Yeah, I want to know how you're logging temps too. I have AutoTap software and I've also been watching my temps during the past week or so. My temp is always around 205* also but sometimes it will creep up to ~214* when I'm idling in traffic with the A/C on. It doesn't help that the temperature around here has been upper 90's too. I wouldn't worry about too much. Just keep an eye on it when idling and A/C is on.

FYI, temps can change substantially( up to 10 degrees or more) without the gauge in the cluster moving at all

I took a 75mile trip yesterday and it's the first time my tranny temps got up to and stayed a 190
My coolent temp was also at about 195 and it's normally a little lower. Of course the ewns poeple said it was 106 yesterday and it has been in the 90's beforehand.
