Default Emissions test van on road

I saw the van setup for the 1st time today as I passed the on ramp near 360 on Mopac(I am in Austin right now). I have never seen that before and I am glad I was on the highway. I wonder if I would "trip" it with my LTs and no cats.

You would probably pass if you have a stock cam, you would pass the sniffer test but not the visual.

I saw that on 290 around the beltway one day. It was like 5 vans or something, what a freaking waste of money. I thought they were just taking a sampling of cars. Will they actually stop you if you do set it off?

We have those vans here in Missouri also. If you pass, they send the card to your house and you send them $24.00 for the sticker. At least you don't have to wait in line for the dumbasses working the dyno rollers to test your vehicle

There was one on 45 south heading into Houston yesterday. I wanna say at like Bay Area Blvd, or close to there. It wasn't the one that always sits at FM517.

i've seen the ones in stl they cant send you a violation for failing but yeah they send you a pass letter if you dotn fail and you dotn ahve to go anywhere, i live in illinois so i floor it everytime i pass one to screw the next guy over lol

my old boss drove by one turned his truck off and coasted by it. passed with flying colors best he'd ever tested lol

most of the ones i've seen are on on ramps parked with cones and stuff out.
