Going to bed so I really, really ghetto rigged it using the only thing useful I could find...

I thought the cream color accented my engine bay, Martha Stewart would be jealous.

And the GM part number for the OEM 05 efan screws is 11516931. They were about $4 each and you need two. I got them for ease of install and to make it look factory.

So it turns out I'm not so bright. Got with Wheatley tonight, and it turns out it had worked all along. I kept expecting the fans to kick on when I started the truck up with the AC blowing, however since the fans are turned on with temps, they wouldn't kick on until the engine reaches temp. I was too impatient and too not smart to realize that, so when they didn't kick on after a few minutes, I thought something was bunk, but they just hadn't reached their trigger temp yet.

Thanks Charlie!

So I take it that the HPT beta (maybe not beta now) will work on an 02 PCM for tuning pin 33?

Also, what version of EFILive works for doing this tune?

Yes, a HPT Beta version will work the fans. Not yet in a release.

On the harnesss ive seen, when the compressor clutch engages, it triggers the relay.. Sometimes it triggers it alot and heats up the relay. i had one melt.

So i rewired it and let the PCM turn them on high and low.

Those of you using HPT(beta) on a 99-02, how are you reassigning pin33 from the recirc to fan2? I do not see a place to reassign it like mentioned earlier in this thread. Also, regardless of tuner, what happens to the recirculation button/function on the A/C? Does it default open or closed? I really don't want to loose switching of fresh/recirc air.
