Driveshaft

The aluminum ones are 4" and the steel ones are like 2" or something like that. there is definately a difference.

For those with a regular cab that want to swap out to a aluminum one, you will not find one that is the perfect length that you need, so the best thing to do would be to try and get one out of a extended cab and have it shortened to fit your truck. But im not exactly sure, whoever does is should measure how long of a driveshaft they need and make sure whichever one they buy is longer than they need.

Its a lot cheaper to shorten a driveshaft than it is to lengthen it.

OOsilverado, would you happen to have a part # for the aluminum driveshaft? Do you think that if I went to a wreckyard or junkyard that there might be a possibility that I would find one?
