Don't shop at Target!! Military reason!
#1
I did not write this it came from a gentelmen off another f-body website.
I got this email here at the base the other day and decided to post it here. For everything we do and what everyone else needs, they could change policy, but again look where it originated.
[ I for sure will not be shopping at Target any
>longer!]

>Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud sponsor of the
>Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our spring recognition event.
>We received the following reply from the local TARGET management:
>"Veterans do not meet our area of giving. We only donate to the arts,
>social action groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education ."
>So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and veterans in
>general do not meet their donation criteria, then something is really wrong
>at this TARGET store. We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not
>even
>
>hundreds, just a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.
>As a follow-up, I e-mailed the TARGET U.S. corporate headquarters and
>their response was the same. That's their national policy.
>Then I looked into the company further. They will not allow the Marines
>to collect for 'Toys for Tots' at any of their stores. And during the
>recent Iraq deployment, they would not allow families of employees who were
>called up for active duty to continue their insurance coverage while they
>were on military service. Then as I dig further, TARGET is a French-owned
>corporation.
>Now, I'm thinking again. If TARGET can not support American Veterans,
>then why should I and my family support their stores by spending our hard
>earned American dollars and to have their profits sent to France. Without
>the American Vets, where would France be today?
>Feel free to pass this along to whomever you want.
>Sincerely,

This reminds me of the "dont buy gas from these companies" email - had a list of gas stations that bought its gas from Iraq or something like that........turned out to be a load of BS. How do you know the person who started this email wasn't sitting in Walmart or Kmart headquarters.........
not saying its not true, I'm not going to spend time researching.......and I dont have a thing for Target.......but just don't believe all the BS you read on the "web"........especially 'chain emails'

Well out of all the other retail stores around here, Target always seems to have the biggest number of fukin charity people out infront of the damn store. u know, those annoying people who always ask for money then probably go buy drugs with it. so personally i dont give a **** what they except, i dont want to be hassled by anyone when im trying to shop

Kinda the same thing happened to me when I was doing my Eagle project. I asked Home Depot for some donations in the form of rebar and some wire ties, to help me complete the retaining wall I was building. They said that I did not fit into their criteria of donations.
