my friend bought a dodge truck like 98 or somethin like that the older stlye body its got a V-8 im not to famailr with the size of the motor i dont know dodges but i was just wondering if we raced would i beat him? all i have is a K&N and hypertech so would i beat him?

 

you can prolly take him. people think our tranny sucks, HAH. those older dodges, like the 96's and stuff had the junkiest transmissions in the world.

 

You could probably let him start while you finish your lunch and still beat him its probably a 318 which is slow. The 360 is a bit better but both are still dogs stock.

 

I had a buddy with an extended cab with 20's. I was pretty much stock with an intake and exhaust. At the time I had an airaid and maybe magnaflow catback. It was pretty slow. I pulled him pretty good each time.

 

i have an uncle that has a 2001 ext cab with the 318. I installed, an underdrive pulley, cat back exhaust, cai, plugs, wires, and headers. along with hypertech programming. the results were the same as if he were still stock. there is just no competition from that engine and yours.

 

I used to have a 98 ss/t the dodge with the stripes. In 98 they switched trannies to a much better one, just fyi on the tranny. my truck would run 15.7s, so if you think you run faster then then that, you'll probably beat it.

 

I think you can take him. Your turning 20" wheels, so it may be tough from a dead stop. Let us know how it comes out!
