Anyway, dodge makes 3 V8's-- a 4.8, a 5.2, and a 5.9L. Regardless of displacement, if they are stock, you will smoke him. Largely due to the fact that all those dodge v8's max out at in the low 4,000 rpm's.

If it is the mid- size dakota p/u, it might be a little harder to beat then the full size, but you will still win.

I raced my cuzin 98 Ram and walked on him pretty easy but his was a excab and only a K&N, i had HPP3 ,K&N and was running slicks at the time it was also a 01 4.8

 

Its a dodge ram with the 5.2 and im not gonna waste my time racing my dodge truck against his truck, my truck is very slow.

 

True true our trucks are very slow no need to race honestly i could care less it was mearly a question i wasn't going to race him. i was jsut curious on it but thanks

I had a 2001 OBS Dodge Ram Quad cab and had done some performance mods to it. It was a dog and drank gas like a bitch. I even once got beat by an extended cab Ford Ranger in that thing. Trust me, you should win.

Dodge sucks?!?!?! What about the almighty HEMI? I'm still looking for one locally to beat up on. My friends 94 Ram with 318, underdrive pullies, headers, MSN ignition, k&n intake, still couldn't take my old 4.8L stock. My buddies stock Dakota RT isn't fast. It should be, but it really isn't!!!!
