do you know how the shift knob comes off?

Default do you know how the shift **** comes off?

got an 06 wt with a five speed manual. any one know if the shift **** is, glued, pressed, or screwed on? if its screwed im going to weld a nut to the bottom of a real grenade for a new shift ****.

its kinda a combo of everything, lol i took the leather back off then it was a piece of plastic that i had to cut it off...then your left with a hollow tube so i took the correct size bolt(actually a large allen bolt)and put it on the lathe at school and milled it down and pressed it into the shifter...or you could just buy an after market one and be done with it...

damnit. so when you got everything off it was just a hollow tube with no threads or anything.

Want to be able to change your shifter handle??? Then buy this : http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=60051 This is a direct aluminum replacement shifter handle for our trucks and any hurst **** will work

yep, this is what i have now...the one i got has a bend in it and i find it really nice to drive with...
