If so, tell me what you think of it, be honest.

How is the aftermarket support for the 6.2?

Does the tranny and rear end hold up hell with simple bolt ons like programer, intake exhaust?

What kind of mileage do you get?

Thanks in advance

The 6.2L is just basically like the other Gen III/IV V8's. Other than cams which they now make VVT cams as well or the intake.

The transmission is alot more stout than the 4l60 you won't brake it with bolt ons and a tune. The rear which should be (not 100% sure) the 14 bolt SF.

I've heard they get really bad mileage. But I mean, what do you expect from a 400HP engine in a 5500 lb vehicle?

The one I rode in and tuned made me allmost go out and buy one hahhaa. Ran low 14's with just a tune in high 80* weather.

The 6.2 is strong. It has a wider range of power (torque) available than a 5.3 or 6.0, not to mention greater horsepower. The transmission is a 6L80-E, it's stronger but feels a lot different than a 4L60-E. Overdrive is a very high gear ratio and combined with the high axle gearing these trucks are set up with you get very low highway RPM. There's not much torque available at those engine speeds so just about any pressing of the throttle leads to a downshift or two. We're all trained to try to avoid downshifts when we need to accellerate lightly, but on these trucks it's necessary and how they work. you'll get used to it. The 6.2L SUVs are all full-time AWD, so the rear end is just a 10-bolt since it's not technically supposed to ever see all the engine torque itself. If you want a 400HP SUV and are worried about fuel economy, ask yourself which you want more, because you can't have both.

Dont know I missed this posts...

I think I am learning more toward the awd seirra the the yukon.

With the new 6 speed tranny, kick down or down shifts are "ok" to an exstent? Unlike my ram, kick down at high speed is a big no no

They only come with 3.42 gears, so with the overdrives it needs to kick down. You can get the trucks in 2wd or AWD. Also, for 09 you can get an LTZ Chevrolet silverado crew cab with the 6.2L as well
