Default do i really need a trans cooler??

I have the factory trans cooler, but there is a chance ill be installing my circle D stall, transgo and vette servo this week. However I don't have a trucool 40k yet but wondering if i'll be safe until i can afford to get one? Will my trans temps be safe? Don't want to heat up the 60e!

Yes the factory cooler isn't going to cut a 3k verter and daily driving. Get a tru cool 40gvw cooler.. 120 buks is cheap insurance..

It's not goig to last long. Mine lasted a couple months, and my tranny went out! Tru-cool 40k FTW

Yes, it will work just fine. That's a 278mm, it will be very efficient and not produce as much heat as a smaller converter. I have a 3600 258 and the stock cooler is more than enough to keep fluid temps right around what they were from the factory.

heat kills transmissions. a bone stock truck can benefit from a tranny cooler.
