Default dissapointment

ok a good friend of mine has a honda hatchback with a gsr motor and some other crap lil some type of trany and all that slant-eye ****.. but anyways i raced him when i just had intake and exhaust. we went from a 20 punch and he pulled about a finder on my till about 75-80.. well a couple months later i now have pacesetter LT`s, ORY, APS pullies and a nelson 93oct tune.. and well we raced again lastnight from the same roll to the same mph about 80 and i only had a finder on him... he hasnt done anything else to his race.. with a lil over $1200 invested in the past month with my bolt-ons i was expecting a lil better results...am i over reacting or does this not sound right?? thanx

justin

p.s. its a 05 rcsb with a 5.3l auto 3.73 g80..

So you went from a fender behind to a fender ahead right? That's half a car length alltogether. I think you need to find a nice empty stretch of interstate and take him up to 100+ and let your 5.3 show its top end strength.

I'll disregard the "slant-eye" comment as it makes you come off completely naive.

Import cars should be approached with caution when it comes to "from a roll" races. Most of the ones I see at the track have horrible 1/4mile times but their MPH is insane..

Turbo Civic at Sac Raceway Fri.

N/A Civic At Sac Raceway

While we're at it, don't go racing any new Accord or Acura TLs either. They trap about 94-97mph in the 1/4 LOL

A half a car length is what about 5/10's. If I remember correctly a 1/10th is about a car length in the 14-15 sec range.

Thats insane, I've never heard of an N/A civic running 12.6 @121 mph...something not right there.

I can vouch for that. My wife bought a new 05 TL to replace her old TL (2002, type S) And I think the new one is quicker than the 02 type S. She won't let me drive it very often, because of the way I drive But I can hit the gas to merge and be doing 100, quick.

I can't say it with 100% assurance but I never saw him purge and it defiantely sounded N/A. It wasn't turbo'd. Next time I see him out there I'll go checking under the hood. He is out there often enough. Most of those hatchbacks only weigh about 1800lbs or so in race mode.
