Default Display won't stay in English!! Any ideas??

A friend of mine has an 03 ECSB and everytime he starts his truck there's no telling what language it will be speaking. It either pops up in french, spanish, or english. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before?

No, haven't had this problem. I am assuming this is on his information center display? The only thing that I could think, speaking from experience here. Is he using both of the remote door lock controllers. At least with my truck, it is set up controller 1 sets up for 1 driver and controller 2 for another. The settings can be completely different for driver 1 and driver 2, this means language and stereo controls and everything. Other than that, I'd say he has a short or some sort of electrical prob.

Has he done anything to the truck. Like add an aftermarket instrument cluster? If not, he might try getting one. Could just be a faulty unit.

Maybe he should take some foreign language classes?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Is the truck still under warranty? If so, he should just bring it in.
