If it's stuck in the end of the tube, you may want to heat the tube with a blowtorch or hair dryer. Don't melt the dipstick handle though!

I would guess hes talkingabout the tube itself, from the motor. I recently broke one off in my rusty *** motor from minnesota and it too about an hour to get it out of the block. Left handed bits, vise grips, heat, and a lotta patience

i sprayed mine with liquid wrench and had to twist(gently) and pull to get it out, but be careful not to break the tube off in the block like charcold said

I sprayed mine with BG, In force, which is by far the most impressive penetrating oil I have ever used in my life. And, it made no difference lol.

Mine was a bear when I did my headers, I only had 16k miles. I just removed it to make it easier; ya I removed it alright, broke the cheesy lil tab that bolt goes thru, as I tried to twist it. I ordered a new one & never put it in. It wiggles round sometimes. I think it actually touches my condensor at times, & then heats that up, & A/C then is diminished. But it couolda been the 98° weather or the R134 just not as good as R12. I digress.

So...anyone w/. the best idea, post up.

Removed from in engine bay, it's a stubborn mule.
