Take it to a dealer. I'm sure someone will do it for you on the spot, at no cost. At least thats what the dealers here in Columbus will do.

So you've already tried turning the key (not truck) on and matting the gas three times rapidly, then turn key off?

That should do it. If not, I dunno.

Keep changing the oil until it goes off actually you can turn the key to run and tap the gas 3 times real fast like the guy above said. Do it until the light starts flashing and it is reset.

You are just not getting the right technic (SP?) down. I'm telling you, take it to any one at a dealer ship, salesman, mechanic, anybody. I'm sur they will just hop in your truck and do it for you. I had trouble with mine one time and the service guy did it on the spot. He said people come to him all the time after there oil changes to have him do it.

The electrician at work has a 8.1L 2500HD and he said the 3 gas hits with the key turned to on wouldn't reset the oil light. I even got in his truck and tried it because he ain't very mechanically inclined with vehicles. Sure enough it didn't work. The dealer reset it with some other method. I'll ask him tomorrow if he's around.

Try this. Turn the key on to run. Wait for the oil change light to flash the red battery should light up. Next just mash the gas pedal real fast 5 or 6 times and stop. They oil change light should come on again and flash. Turn key off then back to run. Oil change light should be gone. Took me a few tries but this method seems to work the best.
