Default Which is cylinder #2?

2004 5.3

My buddy just called me asking me which cylinder is #2 because the scanner is telling him it is misfiring. I am pretty sure it is the first cylinder on the passenger side, correct? Well that is what it is on my motor but I do not know if Chevy changed it for the newer motors.

Driver's side are odd numbers, with 1 at the front and 7 at the back. Passenger side is even, 2 up front and 8 in the back.

Yeah...try to remember " right bank even, left bank odd (driver's perspective) " and that the front ones are the lowest numbers...#1 front of left bank,#2 front of right bank.

FWIW, Mopars are the same,Fords are not (or at least it used to be that way).
