Ooops, wrong pic. It will be going into this, when the time comes.

I'm trying to decide if I wanna go crazy on my Silverado, or return it to stock & build something smaller/lighter. While my truck is(and has been) paid for, a "fresh start" would be nice.

I'm finding it hard to believe that NOBODY is modding these 5.3 Colorado/Canyons....

I understand what both of you are saying. Maybe I should ask about modding V8 Colorado/Canyon trucks? I just wasn't interested in reading posts about modded 5 cylinder trucks.

Knowing me, IF I even get one, it would start life as a 5.3 truck, and get modded from that platform.

Oh, and thanks for the BUMP!!

I've thought the same thing myself, and I figured that they'd sell a lot more of them than I believe GM has...maybe a combination of styling and a poor economy?

To be honest the damn things are way too expensive for what you get. A cc 4wd 5.3 has a sticker of well over 30k which I find hard to swallow when you can get a full size truck in the same configuration for only a couple grand more.

I've tried to figure out which front differential these things have. Seems that the rear is using the 8.6" 10 bolt, but I don't know the axle spline count. I'd bet it's different than the Silverado.
