i think the malibu maxx ss woulda been cool if they woulda put the 5.3 in it and made it rwd... or the LS2... haha wishful thinking though

there throwin SS around like its a damn hooker.. gotta quit doin that chevy.

right now id say there are 2 worthies. the silvy and the tb
scrap the pimpala ss, monte ss, cobalt ss, and the malibu ss. unless your makin em rwd wit 6.0s... IMO that is

sorry let me rephrase that, i dont think they should scrap the whole cars, just dont give em SS badges, i think the whole concept of a charged cavalier is an ok idea but, as i said, dont give em the SS badge, very degrading to it

They shouldn't be just throwing the SS name on just anything

I think an SS should have to be at a minimum a V8 RWD...

that or AWD. IMO the monte carlo ss is pretty cool, if they woulda just put the damn 5.7/6.0 in it and made it a 6-speed. Super Sport should be exactly what it says, not a soccer mom V6 FWD

Amen, same thought here. Makes me sad to see some of these new SS cars and then go into the garage and see the same SS badge on a 70 Chevelle SS454.

well this is coming soon with the new Camaro thats going to be built up hear in Canada, along with the camaro will be the Impala rear wheel drive, malibu rear wheel drive, G6 rear wheel drive, camaro and I think the Monte Carlo. All being built at one factory......you might want to check to make sure but Im not 100% positive about the Malibu going RWD

I'll probably be flamed for saying this, but i personally believe there are only 2 vehicles worthy of the SS badge right now too, but they are the TBSS and Cobalt SS. The cobalt may not be a v8 but it is a badass little car with a small amount of work. There is a guy here with a little over 400whp and its pretty insane.

i completely agree wit you adam, i do think the cobalt ss is a sweet little ride for what it is, plus there cheap to... i just cant go as far as to say there ss material, cool little sports car, but ya just look at the OLD ss's and it doesnt fit well. whats the deal with them being like the supercharged one only having like 30 more hp than the regular 2.2 lol
