Default cons of 22" rims

I just bought an 04 RCSB with a 5.3 and it came with 22" rims. I was wondering how much are the 22's slowing me down, compared to 18's or so?

it has to do with weight too, like it they were aluminum not as much as say steel rims. Granted steels arent made that big but the diameter affects it to and I guarantee if u took them off u would notice more spin of the line but it'd feel faster

they are straight up killing your performance IMO but I do speak from experience having 22s myself. Exactly how much i couldnt tell you but for sur you go to stock or 18s and you will right away feel the diff.

I had SS 20s on for about 3 weeks and hated it.. it was kinda nice the one race against a V-max I had cuz I didnt spin off the line but my tranny wanted to rip its self outta my truck after a couple passes like that

I have billet wheels and the only thing with mine is that it feels heavy from a stop but from a 30 or 40 roll it moves quicker IMO.

when i bought my truck it had chrome 22's on it. i took them off and put centerline 20's on it and a udp at the same time and it felt like i installed a supercharger on it. it was a HUGE difference.

Physics is a bitch. Smaller diameter wheels FTW.

17" is likely the largest wheel I'll ever put on any of my vehicles. Unless, of course, that new C6 Vette ends up in my driveway, then all bets are off haha.

I would watch out for warped rotors with 22's. All that weight creates a lot of heat for those little brakes.
