Stay away from Celeron's!!!!!! You don't want any of that.

Make sure you get Pentium! I wouldnt' go with anything less than a 2.4GHz

what is a good amount of cache 256KB? Would that be decent?

Dont go with the Celery. They suck! Cache size is too small IMO. Shoot for a P4 with at least 512K L2 cache. You can snag a P4 3.0 with 1MB L2 for $180 bux.
