Default Comments on my Sub Box

I just decided to go sealed its just so much easier and its idiot prof. This particular box has an internal volume volume of 1.2 and that is taking into account the displacement of the huge L7. It constucted of 1/4 MDF and it was painted with several coats of black texture paint. It is going behind the passenger side of the cab and it will extend all to the end of the center part of the seat. The amps will behind the driver side. So what do you think....

1/4" MDF? That is a very thin box, the standard is 3/4" MDF. Good luck with not blowing it apart, the l7's arent slackers by any means.

But, it looks good, congrats on building a nice box.

Dude, I use to have a desk just like that. And the person I sold it to is sitting next to me. AAHHHHH the memories.....WTF am I talkin about. The box looks good and I think you ment to say 3/4" right? I built my first box with the solobarics in my truck out of 1/2" and that damn thing literally came apart in 2 places. went back with 3/4" I knew I shouldn't have done it, but I was wanting to get more air space and put 2 amps on the top. I should have done it right the first time.

Did you throw in some of that white polly filling stuff? It'll slow down the soundwaves inside the box and make the speaker think it's in a bigger box. Thus better sound. Just a tip.

Great job though. Looks killer.

Yeah, judging by the top piece it's at least 3/4 MDF...free for me. I machine that stuff at work.

Yeah.. you guys are right.. I meant to say 3/4". It only took about half a sheet built which was about $10 at Home Depot.
