Default Colorado Cruz concept

Interesting stuff! What is an L92 engine code?? Anyone know more about it?

http://truckworld.tenmagazines.com/t...aid=937&sid=42

"The V-8 power plant is an L92 6.2-liter that uses the CTS-V accessory drive and a radiator and fan package out of the C6 Corvette. The engine mount brackets had to be modified and the entire engine is covered with a custom aluminum piece and a modified GMT355 air box. The engine is backed with a T56 six-speed manual transmission and a 9.5-inch rear differential package is used to place the engine’s 420 lbs.-ft. of torque to the ground. The power flows out of a custom exhaust system that exits out of dual exhaust tips from a modified rear roll pan. "

overall i think it looks sweet. but a few things have to go...that silver avalanche thing behind the cab, and that 9000rpm tach i'd kick off the dash. that cowl hood looks mean too. 6.2liter v8...enough said. chevy concepts...also, enough said. oh yeah, and is that a radiator hose coming from the battery?

Scream - Do you remember all the V8 S10 concepts GM has built over the years saying "It might even make it to production". Same thing just a different platform.

Yeah, I used to drool over those concepts. I remember thinking "Dodge has a V-8 in the Dak now, surely they'll do it!"

I'm more curious about the powerplant itslef than what it's put in. 6.2L L92--wonder if that's GEN III based? Since it uses the CTS-V accessories, I would assume it would be. Wonder if it's aluminum or iron?

I bet Kurt "427" knows something about this truck, heck he probably built the engine.

WOW, I LOVE the interior...

I love the truck, except for that thing on the back of the cab.

Nice truck. I like the stance. Don't know anything about the engine, sorry.

I have never seen anything about that around the plant nor even heard anything about it. I figured if they were half way serious about it, they would at least tease the people in the plant with it too. No such luck ....
