Default Cluster or sender

OK,last week when i was driving back to school i let the tank get real low before i filled it up. After i filled it up my gas gauge has been stuck on full and i've even run a whole tank through it to see if it was just a stuck sender and would undo itself.
well, the question is with knowing that both the clusters in these trucks as well as the fuel senders like to crap out which one would you suspect went out on mine?
The rest of my cluster is fine and i never had any problems so far so i'm pretty sure it would be the fuel sender. But want to get other opinions.

You have a buddy with a similar truck that you could borrow from to test the cluster? That would be the easiest way to tell.

If I were to guess, I'd say sender. Seems that most of the cluster problems are 03 and up...
