Default Changing Fuel Pump to Walbro 255, HELP!

Hey Does anyone have a walk-through for replacing the fuel pump on our trucks?

Also, would I need to make any other modifications to the fuel system to run a walbro 255?

I usually pull the drive shaft off and drop the tank down. Then you can pull the fuel pump module out the top of the tank.

An alternative method is to lift the bed off with a cherry picker and you've got easy access to the top of the tank.

So I can just undo the straps and lower it down?

Yes just wait till your almost out of gas it's a lot easier to manouver. Make sure you watch the lines and wiring . I usually drop it down a bit unhook everything and then drop it down more until you can pull the unit out.

you only need to pull the drive shaft if you have the aluminum one. If you want me to I can take pictures of the top of the tank so you can see what you need to unhook.
