a 200 shot should do the trick on the 6.0 right? i would really like the better gas mileage of the 6l. How does power of the carb setup differ from the fi setup? is there more power with the carb setup?

Top end power is generally close and sometimes higher with a carburetor. It’s not always the case, but generally the torque output is higher with a well designed injection system, as in most factory style systems, the intake runners are longer than a typical carb set-up. So much depends on which intakes, throttle body, carburetor, intake plumbing, particular engine set-up and requirements of the particular engine as to which will work the best in your particular application. Basically there is no one size fit’s all combination, but there are so many people running similar set-up’s that you can get a pretty darned good idea of what works and what doesn’t. For your Caprice, I would basically stick with a car style injection set-up so that it will fit under that large flat hood and you should be able to use a good deal of the factory components on the car.

Also, I don’t imagine that a 6.0L on juice will have any issues eclipsing a typical street oriented normally aspirated small-block 408. But there again it depends on how built that ole 408 is.
