I have a rattle I can't find.I have an 06 sierra and I hear a sound of what sounds like tin vibrating under the hood on the pass. side fender area. It does it just above idle. It's not engine related it but I can't find it. My brother-n-law's 05 does the same. Any ideas on this?

 

Heat shield?

 

Shock mount, or loose radio antenna?

 

GM installs that rattle as a factory option, you payed extra for that

Sorry, couldn't resist. Maybe a heat shield or something along those lines. I've heard of the shields on the O2 sensors rattling and making a tinny noise.

 

I say the heat shield mine did thet also.

could be the hood spring. i had one pop out just like that.
