I don't know of any short of clipping either the door jam switches or the key-inserted switch. There might be a tech2 option a dealer can program in.

Although I have thought about just shooting the piezo full of rtv...

This would be great. I'm not willing to loose the dome lights and such - which is why I've never done something about it.

only way i know of to kill the chime in 03+ trucks is to swap the stereo out and not us the adapter. i tried to adjust the lvl using the #6 preset button but it only goes loud or normal.

I hope Neil remembers how he did it. Right now if I want the radio on and left door open, I just engage the door latch with my hand to make the chiming stop. But sometimes when I go to close the door, I forget to unlatch it and BAM the door pops back open

Sorry to leave you guys hanging, been busy.

Here's how to do it on 03+ year models.

I'm still searching for how I did it on my '01, but haven't found the instructions yet and I don't have my truck anymore to see which wire to disconnect. For the 99-02's it's just like the 03+ way except I think you have to pull the middle wire harness to the BCM and disconnect or clip a gray wire. I'm not 100% sure on that though, but if someone wants to try it they can. I'll keep looking for the instructions in the meantime.
